Pforzheim Jewellery Museum

Devoted to the history of jewellery, Schmuckmuseum Pforzheim (Pforzheim's Jewellery Museum) is the only museum of its kind worldwide. Some 2000 exhibits, including an extensive ring collection, bear witness to the rich diversity of jewellery created over the course of five millennia. The collection on permanent display focuses on treasures from Greco-Roman antiquity, the Renaissance and Jugendstil/Art Nouveau, as well as contemporary art jewellery. 

The museum is under video surveillance.

The Jewellery Museum will be closed on Christmas Day, Wednesday, 25 December 2024.

Preparation of showcases for the exhibitions under the headline of »All Cleared Out – the Jewellery Museum Extends an Invitation« within the context of Ornamenta Pleasure from 5 July through 29 September 2024

In the Historical Collection room, several showcases have been changed for the »The Votes Are Being Cast – Visitors’ Choices« special exhibition. The collection’s highlights and the objects described in the audio guide will remain on display. The dismantling after the end of the exhibition will take place successively.
In the Modern Collection area, the showcases containing the pieces pertaining to »Jewellery Created after 1950« have been be prepared for the »Hand-selected – by Sam Tho Duong« exhibition (extended until 3 November 2024). Thank you for your understanding. The Art Nouveau and Art Deco exhibits remain on view, unchanged.
